In one of my freshman courses, I was assigned a two-week process of designing my own garden from references. First week was spent gathering the references and thumbnailing what I wanted my garden to look like. The second week was drawing the thumbnail I liked on a much bigger and refined scale. The drawing is 14x17 inches, I used graphite pencils, and it took me 16 hours to complete.
Looking back, there are a few things I would edit, but I am still very proud of this piece.
